Pick the Line needs WebGL to draw the sea. Try a current Chrome, Safari, Firefox or Edge, and check that hardware acceleration is turned on.

Pick the line
Bumps move. Come down one faster than it travels and you hit the flat, or the back of the next bump, and drop. Read the sea, match the bump, link to the next one.

How to read the bumps
Catching: look back
When you’re slow, after a lull or after a bump left you, the bumps are faster than you and your next ride comes from behind. Hold ↓ to glance back. A dark wall building behind you is a bump on its way. Point downwind and pump so you’re already accelerating as it lifts your tail.
Linking: look ahead
Dark water ahead
A slope tilted toward you: the back of the next bump. Uphill. Ride into it fast and you overrun.
Bright, glassy water ahead
A slope falling away from you, or a trough opening up. Downhill. Aim for it.
Rough, sparkly band
Wind ripples bunch up near crests. The band marks the top of a bump.
Whitecap
A steep bump that is building. Get on it from behind as it lifts you.
If the bright water ahead turns dark before you reach it, the trough is filling in. Turn across the face and stay high on the bump instead of riding to the bottom.
